Years ago, at a family reunion, one of my cousins brought these cookies. They were big and beautiful, and nobody could believe that he’d really made them himself. He happily shared the recipe, though, and while you must have the ingredients down exactly and mix them by hand, they really are the best. Thick and chewy, these cookies are very rich. They’re perfect with a glass of milk or dipped half in melted chocolate. Enjoy!
