Have you ever wanted to write a novel? I did – and my second-grade self penned my first story, all about a Nancy Drew-type rescuing a princess at a ball.
Now my story goals are a bit more sophisticated, though I’m still on board for lots of mystery and action. I have a lot to learn, though, before anything I write can go out in the world, and that’s why the Mountain Novelist Retreat is the perfect place for writers like me to go.
The teaching line-up is fabulous. Here are a few of my favorites:
I’ve heard Lynette Eason teach, and she provides strategies that you can implement immediately, in addition to sharing in-depth knowledge about the craft. In addition to being a bestselling author and teacher, Eason is also a literary agent.

Kara Swanson is the author of Dust, Shadow, and Ignite, two of which I’ve taught to teen bookclubs. They’re exciting stories that reflect deep thought and life truths. Learning how she incorporates all of that into one coherent story would be amazing!
While I haven’t attended the Mountain Novelist Retreat in the past, those who have rave about it.
