I love having a variety of Bibles to use for Bible study. The features highlight different information and make it easier to study scripture from different perspectives.
That’s what makes the CSB (in)courage Bible so exciting. It has lots of neat features that encourage digging into the Word.
One of the most obvious is the devotionals. There are 312 devotionals throughout the Bible about a variety of topics. How great is it to have devos right here, where you can read and then study, flipping back and forth as necessary?
These devos are centered around ten themes that are easily identifiable by the color of the page’s border. A description is found in the back, with the key of what each one means. They’re written by 122 women, and there are some names found in this group you’ll definitely recognize.
Each book of the Bible starts off with an intro page. This page introduces the book to the reader and shares the context in which it was written. I love that – that’s super important information to understand if you really want to understand the whole perspective of the book.
This is what a full-page spread looks like. You can see the devo on the left and the scripture on the right, but even better, look at the bottom right. See that lined space? My Big Helper said this is one of her favorite features of this Bible: it has journaling space built into the pages. Unlike a journaling Bible, the spaces aren’t located next to each margin, but instead they’re found throughout the Bible, at the tops or bottoms of pages. This really gives you space to take lots of notes without adding dozens of pages to the Bible itself.
This is another neat feature: mini biographies of a variety of key people throughout the Bible. These highlight fifty courageous women, and I love that the information known about them is all compiled in one place to make it easy to study.
This Bible also comes in four different covers, so you’re sure to find a cover and material that you like.
We’re really enjoying the features of this Bible, but don’t take our word for it – go here and enter to win your own!
I received a free copy of this Bible from FrontGate Media. All opinions are my own.
