I realize that a few weeks ago I told you how much I like winter – but did I clarify that I really like SNOW? I most definitely do NOT like ice – because while it’s definitely beautiful, it causes many more problems than a simple, peaceful snowfall does.
An ice storm hit a few days ago, and while we live in a part of town that rarely loses power, we did – and there are still roads closed and wires down all around us, even though our electricity was quickly restored. Now they say there’s another one heading for us! I know that many of you are dealing with unusual weather for where you live, too. What’s happening in your locale?
And Now, It’s Time for This Week’s Encouraging Hearts & Home Blog Hop!Join your Encouraging Hearts & Home Co-Hosts each week for encouragement and support for your heart & your home. We hope to provide a space that builds each other up and lends a helping hand along the way. With all the negativity in the world, let’s shine a positive light!

Glad your electricity wasn’t out for long. That would be so miserable and dangerous too. We’ve had some bitter cold temps for Alabama this week, and actually got 4 inches of snow last night! But it’ll likely all be gone soon. Thankfully our electricity stayed on the whole time; that’s unusual for us.
