I share reviews here because I really love being able to connect other people with great products that they’ll love. It’s even better when I learn about something that’s brand-new-to-me that I get to share, and that’s what happened with this company.
I have a thing about jewelry. I love it, even though I’m torn between being one of those people who has a few signature pieces they wear and wanting to be able to change up each piece to coordinate with my mood or outfit. Discovering Holly Lane Jewelry did not make this dichotomy any easier.
Holly Lane Jewelry is handcrafted jewelry designed around Biblical scripture. Each piece is symbolic of a specific Bible verse and is made out of sterling silver. These pieces are available as pendants, rings, bracelets, and necklaces, and they’re all beautiful.
I was able to choose a necklace for the purpose of this review, and it was an incredibly difficult choice to make. I wanted to CHOOSE. IT. ALL. It doesn’t matter that the pieces are specific and symbolic and meant to reflect a part of your journey, or something God has shown you, or a time in your life that is meaningful, or perhaps a stage you’re in now; I could relate to and connect with so very many of them that I had a really hard time choosing.
In the end, I chose Be Still. I love the message of this one, and it’s something that busy-me is always trying to pound into my head – and my schedule.
Opening the shipping package was special, and it started with the package decoration itself. Who would expect special stickers on a regular shipping box? It was a great touch, one that Holly Lane definitely continued throughout the packaging, because when I opened that box,
I found this inside! Wrapping and packaging are definitely not skills of mine, so I always appreciate a pretty package – and that’s exactly what Holly Lane provides. I decided at this point that this would make a great gift. There’s no need to use another box – just gift wrap this outer one and there you go, because you can’t improve on this, except that Holly Lane did. (And that blue ribbon above? It’s real ribbon – the cloth kind – not the fake acrylic stuff!)
I carefully lifted back the sparkly tissue paper and ribbon and found this pretty advertisement inside, with a packaging of pretty paper, and when I removed this ad,
I found a sticker to match the exact necklace I ordered! I love the colors and the image and the font … it’s beautiful!
Perfectly nestled in the paper packaging beneath the sticker was this pretty box. It was so cute sitting there that I hated to disturb it, but I couldn’t wait to see the necklace. I lifted it out, only to discover that the box isn’t your typical box.
It’s not your typical lift-top, simple cardboard jewelry box – instead, it has a pull tab made with real blue ribbon! How cool is that? When you pull the tab, a drawer comes out of the outer box, revealing …
this special scripture card! It’s a full-color design on heavy paper – a great keepsake in itself.
At this point I was beginning to feel as if I’d been on a treasure hunt. I had removed many layers, but I had yet to see my jewelry – and yet each layer uncovered new and beautiful discoveries that were both beautiful and meaningful.
Finally, though, beneath the card rested my necklace. It’s absolutely beautiful! I love it! The blue shades of the beads remind me of ocean waves, and that sentiment is perfectly depicted by the waves on the pendant. The overall look is simple and clean but beautiful and meaningful – my absolute favorite kind of jewelry to wear.
I’m going to love wearing this new necklace out and about, and I have a feeling it’s going to become one of those signature pieces.
Even better, though, is knowing that it’s made with a purpose by a small business. I love supporting family-owned businesses, and Holly Lane has a really cool story. Click here to watch how Holly Lane jewelry is crafted. How does Holly Lane describe itself: Our line of sterling silver Christian jewelry is intentionally designed to create opportunities to share Christ with others, and to be worn as a personal reflection of faith. Each piece is designed in central Virginia by jewelry artist Tiffany Scott who has based her designs on verses from the Bible in order to bring comfort to the wearer and be a representation of God’s promises. These unique designs are meant to catch the attention of others and spark conversation about the verses they are based on.
