I’ve heard the year 2020 compared to Jumanji, and I think it sounds pretty accurate. From the global pandemic that’s changed everything to flooding in Asia, murder hornets appearing in the American northwest, civil unrest sweeping the US, the hurricane currently heading towards us here in North Carolina feels like the most normal thing that’s happened in far too long. That doesn’t slow time, however, and back to school season is upon us. That means it’s the perfect time for the TpT Fall Sale!
I know that many of you may still not know exactly what this school year will look like for you. You may start out teaching in person and later have that change, or start out digitally and go back in a few months. Some are working with hybrid models, and many parents have decided to homeschool for the first time instead of facing the uncertainty. Whatever your reality is, it’s always good to save money, and we all are in need of some fresh plans and new ideas to use with our students this year – whomever they are!
TeachersPayTeachers.com is holding their quarterly sale THIS COMING WEEK on August 4 – 5. That means that you can save up to 25% when you use the code BTS20. Those savings can really add up! There are a ton of new products hitting TpT this week as teacher-authors try to create the products that will help you in your new reality. If you’re new to the site, check it out – there are tons of creative ideas there to engage your students!
Personally, I’m working to refresh a few products and turn as many as possible existing products into digital formats. For the most part, right now that means that you’ll find ELA resources with a digital overlay that you can edit or use as-is with Google apps. All of my products have that option, so you can adapt any of them – and some are already done for you.
I’m working hard to create a for-Google-specific product, too. I’ll share more about that soon! In the meantime, check out these bestselling products from A Nest in the Rocks. They’re sure to add some creative fun to your classroom this fall.
Looking to save even more money? Don’t forget to leave feedback for the products that you’ve already purchased and used! TpT gives credit for feedback left on paid products, and you can use that credit to purchase the new resources you need to make your life easier this fall. You can do this by clicking on the ‘My Purchases’ tab at the top of your page when you’re logged in. Then, under each item, click on the ‘Leave a Review’ hyperlink. It’s that easy!
