Lynn Blackburn’s new release Malicious Intent releases soon – here’s what it’s all about:
Dr. Ivy Collins, founder and CEO of Hedera, Inc., is ready to begin clinical trials of her company’s cutting-edge prosthetic. Her work has been heralded by government, medical, and advocacy groups and everyone hopes the device will be a success. Well, almost everyone. Someone is trying to sabotage Hedera and the launch, but to what purpose–and how far will they go to get what they want?
Meanwhile, U.S. Secret Service Agent Gil Dixon can’t believe he’s finally been reunited with Ivy, his childhood best friend. Now that he’s found her again, Gil intends to spend the rest of his life with her. But it will take all his skill to uncover the truth in time to save Ivy’s life’s work, her own life, and the innocent lives caught in the crossfire.
Author Lynn Blackburn takes Malicious Intent to a whole new level in her latest book! It’s hard to imagine anyone enduring what she puts Ivy through in this story, but that’s just typical Blackburn style. She keeps your adrenaline levels spiked as Gil faces test after test while protecting Ivy from the threats that don’t stop coming.
It’s the variety in these threats that keeps the story moving. Blackburn excels at creative danger – maybe that’s her background in chemistry shining through? – but I love the way that she keeps you guessing about what’s happening next.
That’s true of Gil and Ivy’s personal chemistry, as well. While it’s clear from the beginning that they have a steamy past, the heat only increases as the story progresses, and that raises the stakes for them both to resolve the Malicious Intent facing them.
Malicious Intent is the perfect sequel to Unknown Threat in the Defend and Protect series, and if you like suspenseful stories, these are must reads. I couldn’t put this one down and can’t wait for the next – grab yours now so you’re ready for the next installment in the series, because you won’t want to have to wait a day to continue this story!
