The dangerous beauty of Lavender Tides is harboring secrets that reach around the world.

Ellie Blackmore is making a name for herself as a house flipper. But when her sister Mackenzie disappears, Ellie can’t focus on anything but uncovering what happened. Her only clue is the bloodstain on the deck of Mackenzie’s boat. Ellie knows her sister isn’t on the best of terms with her ex-husband, Jason, but he wouldn’t kill her—would he?

Coast Guard intelligence officer Grayson Bradshaw believes Mackenzie faked her own death after stealing a seized cocaine shipment. The problem is convincing Ellie, who seems to view him as the true enemy.

Both Ellie and Grayson want truth, but truth—and family—is often more complex than it first appears. From international terrorism to the peaceful lavender fields of Puget Sound, The House at Saltwater Point is a thrilling race to uncover the truth before it’s too late.

I absolutely LOVED The House at Saltwater Point!  Coble has upped her game in this small-town-meets-international-stage story full of suspense, intrigue, and flirting.  It reads as if NCIS walked into her Lavender Tides and starts tracking the bad guys – but with all the sensitivity and hunkiness that the cast embodies.

Every time I thought that I had MacKenzie figured out, I found I was wrong – or, at least, not exactly right.  I couldn’t nail her, and I never did.  I love when an author writes a completely unpredictable story, and Coble nailed it here.

I really loved the tie-in to The View from Rainshadow Bay, as well.  That continuing thread definitely added depth to the story, as did the family issues that kept popping up.  It made the heroic Grayson feel a bit more down-to-earth and approachable.

In fact, the story is going to bleed over into the next novel – and as action-packed as this one was, that may be true literally.  The dramatic aspect of this series is far from over, and it’s going to continue on – as will I.  I can’t wait for the next one to release!

I received a free copy of this book from the author.  All opinions are my own.
