Do your kids like technology? Mine sure do. They’ve enjoyed learning bits and pieces about how to code small, kid-friendly things, so we’ve enjoyed learning about Code Wizards HQ and the coding classes for kids that they offer.
Code Wizards HQ offers real-time, online classes with qualified instructors. The classes are project-based, and the course structure looks impressive. Students build real things, like apps and websites, and each project gets bigger and harder. CodeWizardsHQ are online, so you don’t have to go anywhere, but if you do miss a class, you can watch it online later. The classes are small, usually only 6-8 students, so that the instructors can spend time with each student.Classes are twelve weeks long, and they’re beginning new classes each month. Students can start with no experience, but if they have some, they’re start at their appropriate level. It sounds perfect for a club or co-op!For only two hours per week, and with students needing only a computer with a webcam and microphone, these classes sound great. I love that they teach real programming languages and that classes are taught be real, live instructors. This sounds like a great program!
