With her EMS pilot job and lifesaving skills that are frequently needed, this medical angle ratchets the tension up even more – and in a more personal way for the main characters than is frequently the case.
It can be difficult to write in a true surprise with mysteries or suspense, but Eason nails it with Life Flight! The twists and turns in the plot will keep you on the edge of your seat for the entire read. I love the way that she kept me guessing the whole way through the story.
Penny and Holt are unique main characters. They’re not the stereotypical rich, young, and gorgeous types; they each have issues that require attention, and the way that they relate to each other is impressive – and exciting. It’s nice to see characters who have complex and realistic personalities, but I enjoy reading about this kind of character more than any other. This added a depth to the action that made the entire story more intense.
Eason’s creativity shines through in every aspect of the plot. If she ever heads over to the dark side, there will be trouble! This makes for a super exciting story, though, and I can’t wait to read the sequel. It’s called Crossfire and releases in August – and it’s already on my TBR list.
